SURFING AREAS
of the
BAJA PENINSULA

The map below has been modified from one presented in The Magnificent Peninsula guidebook. It shows 49 coastal points used for surfing in Baja California. Each of these points is numbered on the original map and referenced to on a table giving brief comments and noting the chapter in which the point may be found on more detailed maps later in the book. The original map also shows several roads and towns. Resolution on the www does not permit this degree of detail. Please note that there is no surfing along Baja's Sea of Cortez coast because there are no ocean swells.

Many of these surfing locations may be seen in the hundreds of oblique aerial photos in the two volume Baja Boater's Guide.
